The journal does not charge fees for:
- submission of articles;
- peer review;
- editorial processing;
- access to full texts.
Exemption from fees for third-level higher education students
The scientific journal “Scientific Bulletin of Sivershchyna. Series: Law” provides a full exemption from any fees (contributions) for processing, reviewing, and/or publishing articles submitted by third-level higher education students enrolled in state-funded programs, written by them individually (without co-authors).
Exemption from fees applies provided the following conditions are met simultaneously:
- the author is a student pursuing a third-level higher education degree;
- the student is enrolled in a state-funded program;
- the article was written individually, without co-authors.
Provided that the specified conditions are met, no fees or charges will be levied for:
- submission of a manuscript;
- editorial processing;
- peer review;
- publication;
- open access to the article.
Confirmation of Author Status
The editorial board must receive documentary confirmation of the author’s status as a third-level higher education student in a state-funded program.
The publication fee is determined in accordance with the budget estimate and approved by order of the Rector of the Penitentiary Academy of Ukraine based on a decision by the Academic Council.
The cost of publishing an article up to 12 pages (inclusive) is 1,300 UAH. The cost of publishing an additional page of the article is 80 UAH.
When calculating publication fees for certain categories of authors, the following discounts apply (up to and including 12 pages):
– for authors holding a Doctor of Science degree – 50 percent (650 UAH);
– for scientific, pedagogical, and research staff of the Penitentiary Academy of Ukraine – 40 percent (780 UAH);
– for students pursuing a third-level (educational and scientific) Doctor of Philosophy degree at the Penitentiary Academy of Ukraine, studying at the expense of individuals and/or legal entities – 25 percent (975 UAH);
– for students pursuing a third-level higher education degree under the state-funded program, for works authored solely by them (without co-authors) – 100 percent (free of charge).
A notification regarding the amount and payment deadline is sent to the author(s) after the article has received a positive review and has been edited.
The author(s) make an advance payment by transferring funds to the bank account of the Penitentiary Academy of Ukraine, with the mandatory note “for publication of the article.” A copy of the payment document is sent to the editorial board of the scientific journal “Scientific Bulletin of Sivershchyna. Series: Law.”
