The article examines the administrative activity of the business ombudsman institution in Ukraine. It is noted that while the traditional ombudsman aimed to protect citizens from abuses of state power, the business ombudsman focuses on the interests of entrepreneurs, ensuring fair conditions for conducting business and minimizing the negative impact of corruption and bureaucracy.
The article emphasizes that the main task of the business ombudsman institution in Ukraine is to create transparent and fair conditions for conducting entrepreneurial activity, as well as to counteract manifestations of corruption in state and local authorities and in state-owned or state-controlled companies.
This institution performs the role of an alternative mechanism for resolving disputes between business and public authorities, ensuring effective communication between entrepreneurs and the state and contributing to the formation of a constructive dialogue. It is established that the uniqueness of the Business Ombudsman Council in Ukraine lies in the fact that it combines the functions of mediation and institutional protection, creating an open platform for dialogue between the business community and state structures.
In the article, the author concludes that the business ombudsman institution in Ukraine is one of the key institutions intended to protect the rights of entrepreneurs in their relations with public authorities and to help reduce administrative pressure on business.
The main areas of its activity include: consideration of individual complaints from business entities, preparation of systemic recommendations for public authorities, analysis of typical problems in the field of regulatory policy, and participation in the formation of more transparent rules of interaction between business and the state.
